What is art?
In the beginning of the year i said "Anything that someone creates and draws emotion/thoughts from observers." I think i was implying that art needs to have a meaning or some deep explanation, but it doesn't. Art can be literally anything. There isn't really a true definition. Art is subjective. Someone could be looking at a paperclip and think "Wow, thats really cool looking. Its totally art". Although my beginning definition wasn't necessarily wrong, my new thoughts on what art is are more broad.

Is Copying always plagiarism or is there a gray area?
My original answer and my new answer aren't much different. In the beginning, I said that copying can act as inspiration. An artist can copy another's style or methods. I still believe this. It's totally okay for an artist to take another's work and make it their own. As long as something is changed, it's not plagiarism.

What kinds of problems might artist encounter as they plan make and share art?
In my original answer i only listed three things. Whether it was out of laziness or i truly couldn't think of any, i will never know. However, the three things i did list also appeared in my current answer. I mentioned physical problems such as the availability and cost of materials. Illegality could also be a problem. Sometimes we think of great ideas, only to realize they are illegal. However, sometimes breaking the rules is okay. Changing your mind or not being able to commit to an idea can serve as a problem as well.

What is the point of this class? What do you think you'll get out of it?
What i thought i would get out of the class and what i actually did were the same. I hoped to learn new styles and techniques and to work with new materials. All of which i did. The one thing i didn't do was get over my hatred of paint, but i can save that battle for art three.
